Ranthambore Tiger books safari permits in your name — we are not the Rajasthan Forest Department and not the official park booking website.
In short: you tell us the date, shift and number of guests; we check the Forest Department portal, book the permit in your name, and only then send a payment link. Canter seats from ₹2,200 per person (from ₹4,500 for foreign nationals) are available now on the current and premium quota. Gypsy seats are from ₹5,500 per person at short notice on the premium quota (from ₹8,000 for foreign nationals), or ₹2,500 when advance seats are open; a whole jeep at short notice is ₹36,000 on the premium quota or ₹36,000 on tatkal. If the portal shows your date sold out we book in the daily release windows instead: see the times.

Once you pay, we book the permit in your name — zone, shift, vehicle, names as on ID — and send it to you. If it can't be issued, you get a full refund.
The vehicle collects you from your hotel before the shift. Guide on board, one coordinator on WhatsApp throughout.
"Sold out" on the official portal usually means the advance quota is gone. A separate tatkal and current-booking quota is released close to the safari date, and we book from it every day. Tell us your date and we will confirm a seat or a full jeep for it.

The permit is booked in your name. If it can't be issued for your date after you pay, you get a full refund. A tatkal gypsy is non-refundable and non-transferable once booked.

Forest-department fares are the same whoever you book through — anyone quoting far below them has left out the permit or is quoting a canter while you picture a jeep. Our prices include the permit, vehicle and guide.

Our prices include the Forest Department fare plus the vehicle, guide and our booking service charge. The quote we send shows the Forest Department's share and our service charge separately; department fees change, and the Forest Department's own booking portal has the current rate. A government photo ID for every guest, matching the name on the permit, is checked at entry — Aadhaar, passport, driving licence or voter ID. Foreign nationals: passport. We ask for names and ID numbers only after you pay, to book the permit in your name, and never through this website.
Forest-department permits are non-refundable once issued — this is the department's rule, not ours. If the department cancels a drive, refunds follow its rules. Stay and meals follow each property's policy, which we state before you pay.
When to book: November to February, all weekends, Diwali, Christmas–New Year and long weekends sell out weeks ahead — message us as soon as your plan is real. October, March and summer are easier, and April–June often gives the year's best sightings with lighter demand. Monsoon (July–September) means zones 6–10 only, green forest and the lowest prices. Weeks ahead for November–February, weekends and holidays; a few days is usually enough for October, March and summer weekdays. Gypsy seats go first; canter seats are the fallback at short notice.
The Rajasthan Forest Department, for a specific zone, date and shift. Seats per zone per shift are fixed, which is why sold-out dates cannot be "arranged".
A gypsy is an open 4×4 jeep for up to 6 guests — quieter and better for photography. A canter is an open 20-seat vehicle — cheaper per person and easier to get at short notice. Both run the same shifts to the same zones.
Two shifts daily, morning and afternoon, each about 3–3.5 hours. Exact times change with the season; the morning drive leaves around dawn.
You can request one and we will tell you honestly how likely it is, but zones are allocated by the forest department's system. No operator can guarantee a specific zone.
Permits are non-refundable once issued. If the forest department cancels a drive, refunds follow the department's rules. Accommodation follows the property's own policy, stated before you pay.
No — we no longer offer half-day or full-day safaris. We book the standard morning and afternoon shifts; if you want more time in the park, booking several drives across different zones is the best way to do it.
Every guest occupying a seat needs a permit and a photo ID; tell us children's ages in the form and we quote accordingly.
