Short answer: yes, a Ranthambore safari for today or tomorrow is often possible, but not certain. Every day at 10:00 am the Forest Department releases the current quota: seats for today's afternoon drive and tomorrow's morning drive. These are canter seats, from ₹2,200 per person, and available now; there is no current quota for gypsies, but premium-quota gypsy seats (from ₹5,500 per person) can often be booked at short notice. Today's morning drive is already gone. Send us your date before 10:00 am and we try in that window. We check and confirm before you pay.
We reply in minutes, 7am–10pm. If your date looks unlikely, we say so.
Four quotas, each released at a fixed time. For today or tomorrow, only the current quota counts. The others matter if you can wait a few days.

A gypsy seat, a private gypsy, or one named zone. There is no current quota for gypsies, so a jeep at short notice means a premium-quota gypsy seat (from ₹5,500 per person), a whole premium gypsy (₹36,000) or a whole tatkal gypsy (from ₹36,000, released 7 days ahead). For zones we ask, but we do not promise; they are allocated by the department.

Not in practice. Seats are sold online by zone, date and shift. On the day, the routes are the 10:00 am current quota and the premium quota, which we can book for you if seats appear.
No. Tatkal opens at 11:00 am for the date exactly 7 days ahead. It is a full gypsy only, for a minimum of 6 guests. For today or tomorrow, the current quota is the route.
No. Seats are released by the Forest Department and nobody can create more. We book in the release window, the permit is issued in your name, and you pay only after it is confirmed.
