Ten clean, simple rooms run by one family. Dinner on the roof, and the station two kilometres away.
A three-storey cream building with arched jharokha windows, stone balustrades and flowering creepers climbing the front. Inside, the rooms open off galleries around a bright central atrium with cane chairs and the morning papers. Many rooms have painted ceilings and Rajasthani miniatures on the walls. Up top is the roof terrace, where most guests end the day.
Warm orange walls, painted window frames and, in many rooms, a hand-painted ceiling. A double or two singles made up together, a small sitting area and a writing table. Simple, bright and kept very clean.
