Mud-plastered houses under red-tiled roofs, the Aravalli hills behind them, and the tiger's gate a few minutes down the road.
The resort was designed by pioneers of mud architecture. Walls are plastered with mud, cow dung and lime, with bamboo, thatch and teak in the details, and very little cement. Two-storey houses with red clay-tile roofs and timber railings line paved lanes. Local artists painted forest and tiger scenes inside. Behind it all, farmland runs out to the Aravalli hills.
Four-poster beds, wood-beamed ceilings, painted panels and stone-walled bathrooms. The 950 sq ft suites have a separate living room and a private balcony, and two of them have an in-room jacuzzi. The 1,900 sq ft suites are the largest on the property, with a big living and dining space.
